Itinerary
Day 1 - Sunday, May 20 - Depart USA
Your exotic journey to the Far East begins today as you depart the USA aboard your flight to China. Cross the International Date Line en route.
Day 2 – Monday, May 21 – Arrive Beijing, China
Today you arrive in Beijing, the exciting capital of the Celestial Empire. After clearing customs formalities, you will be transferred to Beijing’s most exquisite hotel – The Beijing Hotel.
Day 3 – Tuesday, May 22 – Beijing
Full-day sightseeing tour of Beijing includes the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven and Pearl Market.
Day 4 – Wednesday, May 23 – Beijing
Full-day sightseeing tour includes the Great Wall at Mutianyu (cable car access), Jade Factory, Summer Palace with boat ride on Kunming Lake and the Beijing Zoo (home of the world-famous Pandas). Tonight, enjoy a special Peking Duck dinner.
Day 5 – Thursday, May 24 – Beijing / Yichang
Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Yichang. After dinner at a local restaurant in Yichang transfer to the Victoria Queen cruise ship to commence your Yangtze River Cruise on this luxurious sightseeing vessel.
Day 6 – Friday, May 25 – Yangtze River Cruise
Morning visit to Three Gorges Dam Site then sail though Three Gorges Shiplocks and Xiling Gorge.
Day 7 – Saturday, May 26 – Yangtze River Cruise
Excursion to Daning River Small Gorges/Shennong Stream Pass through Wu Gorge/Qutang Gorge.
Day 8 – Sunday, May 27 – Yangtze River Cruise
Shore excursion to Shibaozhai or Wanzhou.
Day 9 – Monday, May 28 – Chongqing / Xian
Arrive in Chongqing. Following morning sightseeing, transfer to the airport for you flight to Xian and transfer to the beautiful Shangri-la Golden Flower hotel. Enjoy Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in the evening.
Day 10 – Tuesday, May 29 – Xian
Full-day sightseeing tour includes the Terra Cotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda, city wall and special dumpling luncheon.
Day 11 – Wednesday, May 30 – Shanghai
This morning you transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Arrive Shanghai and transfer to your hotel…the magnificent Shanghai JC Mandarin. Afternoon city tour includes the Yu Garden and the Bund. Dinner at a special local restaurant followed by the famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show.
Day 12 – Thursday, May 31 – Shanghai Business visits.
Sightseeing tours/events available for non-business visit participants.
Day 13 – Friday, June 1 – Shanghai
Business visits in the morning. Balance of the day is free at your leisure. Evening farewell Dim Sum dinner followed by Huangpo River Cruise and tour of the harbor. Late evening available to stroll Nanjing Road and enjoy Shanghai’s exciting nightlife.
Day 14 – Saturday, June 2 – Return to USA or Your Home Country
Bid farewell to China as you board your return flight home or continue on an extended vacation.
