Rick Johnson

Rick Johnson brings 35 plus years of business experiences to his work with Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS in the Valley of the Sun. Rick has extensive experience in sales and business management, strategic planning, and marketing development for all sizes of businesses -- from very small to multi-billion dollar global organizations.

A business career that spans both small business and major corporations, Rick has a unique blend of the “entrepreneurial spirit”, seasoned management and operations know-how. He has been President of a $5M technical professional services company, worked as Senior Marketing Director at Lucent Technologies headquarters ($7B), started and managed his own consulting and training firm, managed field sales and service operations ($15M), and served as the Vice President – Sales & Marketing for two small professional service firms ($2M+). His most recent major corporate position was U.S. Sales Vice President for Avaya, responsible for over $1B in annual sales. He has over twenty-five years of business-to-business experiences, negotiated multi-million dollar contracts, and is a certified sales and marketing trainer.

Under Rick’s presidential leadership, the profitable fourteen-year old technical professional services company was selected as a member of the Flying Forty, which identified the fastest growing high technology companies in the state. He attained President’s Club and was recognized ten years as a Sales Director, consistently qualifying over 80% of his sales team for Achievers’ Club.

Rick has had extensive community and professional involvement and helped to establish six community-based organizations. He has served on over twenty business, professional and community Boards of Directors, both local and national in scope, holding numerous leadership positions. He was recognized as one of New Mexico’s Top 100 most effective and influential businesspersons by the State’s premier business publication. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce where he is Vice Chair for Membership and serves on the Executive Committee. He also serves on the Phoenix Center for Community Development Board. He particpates on the WellCare Foundation.

Rick and his bride of 37 years, Kristine, reside in central Phoenix. They have two grown children and three beautiful grandchildren who all reside in the Valley. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, riding his Harley, softball and working in his woodshop.
