Rodolfo Baquerizo is Partner and Chairman of Boston Investment Partners (BIP), the largest housing developer in Ecuador. BIP is currently developing two major projects in Guayaquil, Ciudad Celeste (4,000 homes) and Villa Club (5,500 homes).
Prior to his involvement with BIP, Rodolfo was Founder and Executive President of Albobanco, a forward-looking banking institution with focus on retail and mortgage financing, where after a number of years of rapid growth, he arranged a successful merger with several other banks to create Solbanco. He was also Founder and General Manager of Círculo Continental, a consumer-banking subsidiary of Banco Continental.
In the public service sector, Rodolfo was elected Representative to the National Assembly, which was responsible for writing Ecuador's current Constitution. He has also been a Member of the Board of the Central Bank, appointed by the President of Ecuador and Member of the Board of Corporación Financiera Nacional, appointed by the Secretary of Energy.
Rodolfo holds a BA in Economics, Cum Laude, from Harvard University, and a MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School. His Master's thesis, "Inflation, Savings, and Mortgage Financing: Problems and Proposed Solutions for Ecuador" was written under the supervision of Nobel Laureate Franco Modigliani, and was nominated for the Brooks Prize.
Rodolfo is father of 4 children, a three-time marathon runner, and a certified scuba diver.
